This is a continuation of the CAFE Health survey. ( Other posts in this series can be found either by clicking on “CAFE Project” in the Tag Cloud or by clicking on “GrumbleSmiles Trust” in the Topics list)
The “expert group” were able to give more than one response to this question. There was a good level of interest in all the subjects raised. Two thirds of the group wanted to know more about health prevention — or more accurately ILL HEALTH PREVENTION, as someone pointed out.
FOOTNOTE: This issue seems to represent a significant gap in the information readily accessible to older people. There are a considerable number of outlets for this type of information in Coventry:
- The Health Service itself )
- GPs Surgeries )
- Public Health Service ) THE PROBLEM IS THAT THERE IS NO
- The Library Service ) “ONE STOP SHOP”
- Specialist Organisations )
- Private Health Care )
dear Oh deary me, This Blog John has just now 2025 15th Feb come to my attention,
The blog written in 2013 is still as true as ever, and having now reached a certain age, not with heath problems but mobility, hearing, sensuary, and a little forgetful ness at my age of 82, I still find this chart of concerns for the elderly appropiate for me personally.
The modern world has moved on into the world of texting/computer web communications, and my mind responses and my finger agility are no match for the time sequence given on any modern web site to stop/wait and consider the issues before I wish to repond. Money issues and banking on line scare the pants of me, as an errror may be deemed to be my fault1!!! Hence I wish to deal in person in my local town centre with conviently placed shops/banks/outlets, and the personal staff they have on call. Yet again I may be at a loss? the upto date supermarkets have automatic cashless check outs [Bank card system’], so the highstreet shopping of friendly personal service, and that odd small shopof the entripreuer has disappeared? They are now all on the web?
A spiders nest? for me an elderly gent [Passing wind= ”OLD FART’}
