This is probably the biggest challenge of all in the electorates mind. And it is only going to get worse as the population ages. So what can we learn from my garden?
Well the NHS is choaked with weeds, all claiming their little bit of space in the garden. Bureaucratic weeds handed down by a micro-managing central government—- these need to be pulled out straight away. Then we can dispense with an army of administrators, who don’t grow any flowers in the NHS garden.
Most of the NHS staff need to be gardeners helping patients to grow back to health. It is what they do best —- creating 🌻🌹🌼🌸🌺🪷
Cottage hospitals should have cottage gardens, where patients can recuperate. Hospital wards should be full of flowers, not banned by infection control police.
BLOOMING ECK!!! What a comment,? I require support!!!
TIME to reflect, and gently have 5 minutes thoughts. This piece as written, scribed by this old garndener is most thought provoking!!!! Not what I am going to write about, but what has been BLOOGED.
Just to read the attached ‘Blogs’ as lsted are interesting, and those two ‘Blogs’ as attached dated 2011 JULY and JUNE 2011, make me believe in JOHN;s ROLE in EXTRACARE Charities TRUST, Coventry, and his/their concept for a retirement village other than a care home was to encourage us to think, when we reach retirement age: You ask the questions, ”What do we wish for in our future life”? Not while we are fit, mobile and mentally alert, but when we become dependent upon other persons and outside people to help us through daily life??? John Had/Has the vision!! we had/have the choice???
Now as one sits in the sunshine. on ne balcony or in the garden, or just admiring the view, as one enjoys one later days on holiday away from HOME, what do we wish for??? What garden of ‘EDEN’ do we hope to enjoy? Can it be a reality or is it just a dream???
The modern NHS is still caring, however for the elderly, home visits, and after care are a dream too far, and one if one is lucky and maybe has made the choice to be involved in a caring envirionment , supported initialy by the NHS, but after care is dependentent upon volunteers, and dedicated support staff. It is frustrating, and one who is dependent upon help and care, and the support/volunteer staff, have to address each other, and greet one and other with respect courtersy and kindness!!! This attitute does not grow on trees, and like a garden has to be grown and culivated, so we all reap the harvest, especilly for our personal last years./months/days upon this earth, hopefully in our garden of kindness.
As an oldie my priorities in life are changing, however i am greatful for a person who throughout their life could read the pit flls, and the aspirations of an organisation Like The EXTRACARE Charities TRUST/COVENTRY, and a mentor of theirs JOHN Graham OBE { OTHER BUGGERS EFFORTS]. ? JUST REFLECT IN YOUR MINDS EYE[ WHILE YOU DRINK THE GARDEN IN with all its SCENTS and PERFUMES, what has been achieved for us as the elderliy???[ the other buggers] = HAPPINESS in my case! Thank you!!!!
My garden age?????? WHOLLA! what a load off cobblers, at 77 and in the manure heaps, in the veg garden, in the rose garden, or even just looking out into our gardens, full of memories. WE have a big one coming up JULY 4th? Are we going to be pushing the diasies up, after an election where the LLLP did not get a look in>??? Or will we all be happy and just rest with our own memories, of what we believed was a fair and just world full of compassion, Or is it NICKERS to each and evey one of us for voting for the Long last loonie party????? I just wonder.
ONWARDS AND UPWARDS To our creator!!!
