Enquiring About Inquiries.

There seem to be a lot of Public Inquiries about these days. They are the “long grass” of politicians promises. A depository of dirty deeds. A graveyard of forgotten responsibility.

All funded by the taxpayers!

Between 1990 and 2017 there were 69 Public Inquiries at a cost of at least £639 million.

The big ones in the news currently are about Covid, infected blood and the post office. Nightly on TV, daily in the newspapers, live-streaming on YouTube and popping up all over social media.

There is a feel good factor about the issues being exposed, but will they make any difference beyond the platitudes of “lessons being learned”?

SOME KEY QUESTIONS:-

  • How much do individual Inquiries cost?
  • How long do they go on for?
  • Do they establish the root cause?
  • Are lessons learnt?
  • Where do no win/ no fee lawyers fit in?
  • Is there a better/quicker way?

I will explore these issues in my next blogs…….

  1. quiet thought or two? It is sunday morning after all, and ones day with one’s family, after maybe a thought or two about ones OWN Chosen ‘GOD’!!!

Pangolins well I am unsure, But there again this subject invokes a thought process, of the society we now live in, and is being evovled in the UK after our most recent general election.

As John has pointed out we now need to honour all the invoked and authorised ‘Government enquires’ito the findings of governement policies by the holders of these responsibilities. {God Bless them!]

Now then I am worried as one of the failings is the ethos of the National Health Service and its ethos? Why One may ask when the ideal is too provoide support and care for all, that may seek medical assistance, – from a visit to a doctor’s surgery, hospital. or a care home/Hospice. Is the curabilibility of life dependent uopn monies, inflauanced by mobility/mental ability/age etc ? What are our own/your guidelenes and wishes for this society of ours? and the future of the NHS,

A different subject but one of importance CASH!!! THIS Friday 19th WORLD WIDE ”CRASH” of the flow of the internet and money transactions/business?? Dis aster, an Americain Citezen has ownwed up to his own company busiess site in provoviding security for registered moneied accounts on a world wide basis= GOOD- But there again who is the gentlemean, and are the scallywags of this world political and financial playing the game or are they wishing unrest so politically and territorially they may have the influancing hand? I Just wonder.

Itis time for me to think of my family, and my beliefs in my god, as to what I may wish for the future of this world? It may be a littlemeore than an election promise as broadcast at present.

    Shall we say another enquiery????

  2. At my age of 81 Years, I just wonder as I drift and dream, obout world affairs> In the AMERICA’s the far east, and europe, not forgetting the middle east? And the relationships between different nations.

My immediate concern is the events in the USA amd the prospective party representatives to be slegible in the forthcoming Presidential Election. I await with interest as to whom or who they select and vote in as a president and pesidential party? A liitle too serious one may say, but this existing new Parliament Under the guidance Of the Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Kier Starmer, I hope acts with common sense and reason and sees our nation [UK] through these troubled times without a court of enquirey, into who or whom is right.

There again takinga lightherted view of events we maybe as a nation employng no fee no win lawers into ”how dance this tune out” like the BBC.

Do we need an equirey or just common sense with a little reason???
