Blogging gets harder by the blog. Grumbles are plentiful, but smiles are more difficult to find. They are more rewarding though!
I have been blogging since 2010. Over 14 years of Grumbles and Smiles. From the outset the threads were about older people, even more so now I have grown into the subject😀
Health and housing have been two of the dominant themes of many of my posts; not surprisingly, because it’s the field in which I spent most of my career. The rapidly changing world around us and how it impacts on older people has also been a backdrop to many of my blogs.
It is perhaps for this reason that politics and politicians have increasingly featured in many blogs more recently.

The Last Laugh Looney Party has been a regular contributor. They represent any and all parties, as our politicians twist and turn in their endeavours to remain in power, or regain power.
SO WHERE ARE WE TODAY? What is the LLLP contending with and how will they go about addressing the issues?
THE NEXT BLOGS WILL TRY TO SHED SOME SMILES INTO THE GRUMBLES.
Hello good morning to all! and ‘COCO’ living in a retirement Viallage, approaching the gentle age of 83 Years, I just wish too, while I can type out a blog on this web site comment on Modern life, for my personal frame of mind!
I have been dealing with isses concerning – Parking offence/monies to pay, and comment to the TV -BBC and ITV Channels on their current drama programes in the early evening until my mind switches off! at around 2200/2230 Hours. It is for me a night mare,
The various services quote a Landline number for contact, once one has negotiated this dialing technic, one is requested/ informed to proceed further with ones enquirey to go on the web? Once here one is quoted as to enter ones mobile telephone number to enable the site [the person company one is calling can acknowledge that number, and quote a ‘code [ to one, so the call is controlled and not a scam].
wonderful for the youger mystros of computer skills. to me a night mare, at my gentle age of 83 and finger tip skills on a computer keyboard. I am Lost!!! I like my moble telephone to be just that! Not a bank account and computer web Interigator????
Why all the above comments??? In my momments of enjoyment in my retirement village, I can meet/greet fellow residents, some half baked, some with memory loss whether a gentleman or a lady, it does not matter, I can engage them in conversation human, one to one vocally, and look into their eyes, see the smiles on their faces, and we make contact, whether by a wave/acknowledgement, or a verbal greeting of hello/good morning/how are you, and listern look at their body language for a response, then pass on or stop and talk. Usually my talk leads me in by my questioning into ones days experiences and then maybe past working life, and life;s experiences, Provided one is not too personal, or expressive in crude language, I find my time and that of the person I am conversing with most enjoyable!!!!
What I am wishing to say is I like communications to be personal, voacal/sight and feel the person to who/whom I am speaking too, not a load of electronic wonderment, where I cannot read react to a persons conversation/posture as too whether they may be leading me on.
My electronic skills are volts/amps/ resistance, not in the ether/space of satalitte communications, where I cannot tell who is listening too me, I need a short shock if I am doing things wrong???? Bye the way WOOF WOOF To COCO!!!!
