Smile Garden.

The fist signs of spring in the garden can always lift the gloom of winter.

Reminders of days long ago when my mum and dad stopped off in what seemed like a long trip to Gloucester to pick daffodils in a farmers field on a monthly journey to see my grandparents.

They all speak for themselves, a silent fanfare to herald warmer days to come.

THE QUIET INNOCENCE OF FLOWERS

  1. Forgetting for a moment, world politics, it is most pleasent to reflect in the freashness and prospect of sunshine, on a spring day, after our winter time of unrest.

I am having trouble at my gentle age of 83 remembering, which spring flower it was that one picked the petals, and if one used to at the same time repeat. ;ONE for luck; and the next petal was one for being unlucky, until one had picked the flower completely, one was able to think in general’One had been lucky’? or unlucky as one wished.

There again a daisy, one could find in the feilds/garden/lawn/roadside, and fabricate a diasy chain for one wrist, ;wonderful, and many a happy momment as one picked the daisy’s.

I t all happens on a spring day, and now we must look forward to the easter bunny, and an easter egg, either painted and prepared from the kitchen, or a chocolate one and a pleasent bite to eat.

    Memories, memories.

  2. today driving around from MK to dunstable through the backroads and villages, it was most pleasent to enjoy the sunshine, and admire the white and pinkblossoms on the trees. It gave me a smile, most enjoyable.

White blossom may flower, ping blosom cherry trees.

    Wonderful.
