GRASP 4 — Clutter.

I have been writing about clutter forever. I can’t seem to get rid of it, no matter how hard I try. It needs a GRASP solution.

For years now China has been under-cutting western goods with cheap imports. So how about if reverse that process and send our clutter to China at deep discounted prices. With over a trillion people surely someone would want to buy these rare British collectibles.

Of course each item might need to have an intriguing backstory.

Let’s start with socks. I have always got too many of them. Some of them may have been worn by by famous people like Winston Churchill, or King Charles, or Oliver Cromwell. I only said ‘may’. Still that story should sell a few socks🤡

After this I have got books … and ties …. and trousers … and glasses … and so much more.

All the members of the extended Royal Family could be enlisted to sign greetings cards to go with all the clutter. That should add a few bob to there worth🤡

Our unemployed politicians could be sent to China on a year-long trade mission, to champion the rich history embodied in all this clutter. Which henceforth will be renamed as “Valuable Almost Royal Artifacts“.

This could be the beginnings of another Amazon success story. An echo of the East India Trading Company.

  1. Hello Am I on this site commenting to John Graham?

I submit my comment to Grasp 4?

John Good morning, memories and clutter? they are the same thing, but kept in seperate draws in my bedside cabinet,

I discard my dirty clothes to the washing machine, and then dry and iron the washed clothes, routine, and in military order, so I do not forget my personal cleanliness and hygiene and my house hold responsibilities to Molly.

Now I have gone back in time with our family, we have just enjoyed a wonderful ten days Celebrating Christmas with our immediate family, Wonderful memories to revisit and keep-Just a little clutter of the mind!!

This has made me go back as i Relax before i make my new years resoltions for 2026, and dream of my earlier life with Mum and dad, Some times instaed of going to newbolds the chippy at the end of the street in rawdon, mum and dad would take us down to White Cross Guisley and Harry Ramsdens Fish and Chip Outlet, We would either have fish[haddock] and chips from the service counter, all in greaseproof paper served in the Newspaper [News of the world=SCREWS?] and all the naughty going ons in this world! Or Dad would treat us to the restaurant, here under chanderliers on tables and chairs, knives and forks, and on plates the fish and chips with Fresh or mushy peas. Followed by ice cream served in a dish with a spoon. All this to soft piano music from a live pionist, play popular old time favourite tunes. Great memory, lovely meal.

Clutter of the mind dementure well maybe, alhzmiers lost mind, i just wonder. at the gentle age of 80 odd one often drifts and dreams, however tonight, i must make my resolutions out for the new year, and look foward to continue living a happy life with Molly the Family and oyr friends,

  3. Wakey! Wakey! you fellow Readers, Best wishes for the ‘New Year’
