Good News Garden.

Recently the news seems to be relentlessly bad. Day after day. Issue after issue. It’s almost never ending. It drags you down with it, if you are not careful.

🌻🌸But not in the garden🌺🌷

The garden news always contains some good news and lifts you up. Even on the rainy days.

A lone primrose in early springtime, defying its stoney surround.

Rhubarb breaking through the cold and damp, promising a pie before too long.

A reminder of good days gone by, at an Elderflower festival, never to be forgotten.

Random thoughts to add bloom in the gloom of any day.

There were flowers all throughout ExtraCare in the blooming lives of its residents. Uplifting news in the days of old age.

A JOY TO BEHOLD !

  1. a most interesting poste! The attached Blogs explore in detail the culture of modern life for the current eldery persons, both single and partnered, living in a retirement complex. with care to help persons maintain a live of independence.

As I reflectin my memories in My wife and My life time in the 70 years of age, we looked forward to our life style with the support that helped us maintain health and independence.

What made us select EXTRACARE Charities as was of life in their retirement home in Milton Keynes, was the whole atmosphere and management of the EXTRACARE Management and the dreams, now reality which JOHN Graham as CEO OF EXTRACARE broadcast. Back in 2006 our initiAL residence we wre in our early 70;s. and the average of the residents in Lovat Field Milton Keynes was 73 years.

I now come to today 2026 My age in reality is 84 years and Molly 82 years, Physically we have to be careful in our lifestyle, we have problems with physically standing upright from a sitting position, and th en walking for longer than 15/20 minutes without noting pain in our leg and hip muscels, We can still think rather slower, and perform all our household duties at a slower rate. One has to be aware of ones abilities and act safely in ones environment and community.

Now at 2026 I still think of the future, and Molly also discusses our future, should we be the individuL SOLE SURVIVIOR, It is intriguing and the dream of 2006 when we engaged EXTRACRE is very much a reality, we have to reflect upon our life style and the future provisions and services provided by The Extracare Carities Trust Coventry.

Metophorically it is similar to having memeories of a garden, and the plants within it.

AT my our delicate age of early mid 80’s we need to think of life not as ;winter’ or Autumn’ but spring time, and invest time.patience and relationships that within our economic passage we can look forward to a summer of sunshine and smiles and relationships with our fellow residents. Relying of the EXTRACARE Management and government policies of the day supporting each of us oldies as we reach our winter metophirically in life with a happy farewell.

Quite a few deep thoughts for those in their 60 years of age, and previous life of earnings/relationships and saving, hence they need to prepare for a later life in retirement.

    Regards.

ps like a garden one has to care about what ones actions are, bound with love and care, and a lttle hard work.
