This is a critically important question to the GrumbleSmiles Trust. Our central aim is to reduce loneliness and isolation amongst older people. In the survey group it doesn’t seem to be a major problem, although even in this active group of people, 40% do feel lonely occasionally.
One can be lonely on a bus load of people, and yet be amongst them all?
Loneliness is a difficult hurdle for some people to overcome. However, by our age, we should have had enough life experience to have learnt that life is what you make it and we only get one crack at it.
