A cottage garden is supposed to be somewhat unkempt. It is not a tidy, beautifully manicured flower show haven. This is especially true now that rewilding is all the rage.
I don’t know who told the plants in my garden that, but they have certainly taken it to heart.

This used to be an organised bed of cutting flowers, mainly dahlias.
No more, now the buttercups have seized control. Two self- seeded foxgloves joined the party and a single clematis retains its lofty position. Roses climb with abandon.

It is certainly wild and very floriferous. The birds and the bees love it.
I am beginning to think nature is a better gardener than I am myself !
you old faggot, all you pictures of your garden over the years have not changed? Buttercups, plenty of them. the occassional rose, and some blue flowers, and there again a bit of greenary, so all blossoming.
It is a bit like the thoughts of paliamant all parties blossoming some brighter than others! There is a gardner like JOHN he is a GOD, and shows you what can occur in a cultivated space, and that little thing called weed, if not curtailed is free to develope?? Exavctly like parliament its a cultivated garden of WEEDS? what the ideas are NO One knows! but the message is clear and colourful!!! It Just requires a leader to show us the path through the political deadlock??
Maybe we just enjoy the sunshine, and then in the autumn have a bonfire when we have collected the weeds, and cleared the garden, maybe once a year, and not every 4 years like parliament.
Was GUY FAWKES Correct do we need to burn the house down? I just wonder. In the meeanwhile i will just enjoy johns pictues of his gargen over the past few years, and note while it is full of buttecups, interlaced with weeds, it is still has that occassional RED ROSE, BLue FLOWER, and lots of greenery.
