Everyone keeps saying the NHS is broken. To add to that the junior doctors are on strike right now. While the waiting lists for treatment are ever growing. Many of our GP’s have disappeared behind the 111 door and you are lucky if you can get an appointment any time soon.
At the same time the medical profession are giving more pills than ever. Older peoples daily lives are ordered by the time they have to take their pills. Some before meals; some after meals; some every 4 hours; some before bedtime and some more when you get up. All in all, a pill popping day.

So how do you GRASP this problem?
WARNING THIS IS NOT SOUND MEDICAL ADVICE !!!!
How about if we all came off our pills for a while, under Medical supervision of course. Say for 3 months and then extended for another 3 months if we are not in pain or dead.
GP’s could deal with urgent cases; hospitals could reclaim their corridors and shorten waiting lists; Junior doctors could stay on strike if they like; pharmacies could shut up shop for a while and the big drug companies could just make a lot less money.
SO LONG AS YOU END UP “GRASPING” AND NOT “GASPING”🤡
Pills
Memories, PILLS, it takes me back to my school days and our sports teacher on a Friday afternoon, as we left the changing rooms for the sportsfield, Fred would throw a couple of footballs at us and say catch the ‘PILLS Boys ‘ we off for a game of football, and we walk down to the sports field, Once on it and FRED had blow his whistle to start the game, you could hear him shout and blow his whistle saying- Pass the ‘PILL’ kick the ‘PILL’ , to me the ‘Pill’ as we played up and down the soccer pitch. Then at the end FRED would pick up the PILLS; and toss them amongst us boys and say catch the ‘PILL’, please take them back to school. Memories Great??
Now then Dear JOHN and his utterings of ‘PILLS’ Great read but a little disturbing, which I now send as this ‘Ragamuffin’ from the LONG LOST LONNIE Party into a spin’? and mutter under my breath!
I am wondering if Dear Johni is having words with each of us {all age groups] , or just us ‘Golden Oldies’? AS a golden Oldy and a ragamuffin, I am in a spin, and just wonder what is or are all these utterings about ‘PILLS’ is about,
For instance in my younger days I would have challenged the uttering of such comments abouts PILLS/Age groups, and asked politely which website/government survey was one referring too? So one could read the common complaint and the average age of the group making such a complaint.
For instance are the comments about the NHS and diagnoses of PILLS related to an ailment or just age? With a clinical definition of both? There again the survey forms were they medical?? Or Financial??? Looking into the financial well being of the medical profession and NHS in general. One may politely ask enquire is there a commercial =propositions for diagnosing one type of pill in preference for another, financial inducements for the medical practice concerned of the NHS in general.
Where oh WHERE can one read such unbiased information, that may help society and the medical profession be more beneficial to society in general? Or AM I BARKING MAD? Like the LLLP;
