It has been a rollercoaster last few weeks. Or maybe year? Or even two or three years? Much has changed since the turn of the millennium.
But there wasn’t a big BOOM moment, the change was gradual and had many components.
Here are some of the issues and questions :-
TECHNOLOGY – first the internet and now AI – where is this taking us ?
AGEING POPULATION – increases demands on pensions and health care – is this sustainable?
IMMIGRATION – a source of cheap labour, but is it a cultural fit?
CLIMATE CHANGE – increasingly real, but can we afford to do anything about it?
NATIONALISM – started as devolution and backfired, Pandora’s box ?
GLOBALISM – a fluid network of trade and people, can there be boundaries anymore?
HEALTH CARE – great advances = greater demand, so is rationing the only answer?
INFLATION – forever devaluing the £ in your pocket, can we stop it?
EDUCATION – declining standards in the three R‘s, but woker ?
DEFENCE – we have enjoyed the peace dividend, are we about to reap the war dividend?
The looney answers to these questions may offer some solutions, so they will be in my next posts.

What a list of ideals and maybe you may call them wishes??? This LLLP ‘RAGAMUFFIN’ has disappeared into the corner of the room, and just rests while the teacher Dear JOHN Lectures us all on what ‘IF’ It is mind blowing!
In my cornwer in my quiet moments I have returned to my school boy days and memories of Yesteryear and the approaching of sunshine and Easter: Do any of you kind souls remember the caochcar company ;WALLACE ARNOLD’ from the leeds district? His weekenf and holiday one day trips to the seaside-Whitby/SCARBOROUGH/Filey/Bridlington, or if one wished a day out at Morecambe or Blackpool, Then walking all those promanardes and visiting the penny stalls, and Housey Housey games. Quite a change from ones normal week day of work/school/colleage, and then an ice cream cornet with a choclet finger in it=Wonderful \Memories!
There again is one had moneies and time the trip of a life time with WALLACE ARNOLD was a week to 10 days coach trip abroad to switzeland and the alps/Interlaken, and the lakes, or if one wished he tri to the Austrian Tyroll and all the views and freash air and alpine songs, Again Wonderfull!
The only song I hear today is AI and a racket of a noise like voices of discord from Westminister, it is all a belly ache and noy very restfull,
I just trust and hope this comming \good Friday and Easter bring us all enjoyment, and enjoyment.
